Theater Workshops in Marketing and Stage Management

PR/Marketing & Social Media and Stage Manger Workshop June 18th, 10am – 2pm at Players of Utica, 1108 State Street, Utica NY.  Vince Scailse will be presenting the PR/Marketing piece of this workshop, he has over 20 years of experience in marketing, with expertise in Media purchasing with radio, television, print, and Internet. He has been in charge of all PR & Marketing efforts at Players of Utica for the past 15 years, this includes TV, radio, print, Internet, press releases, and public speaking. He is currently the President of Players of Utica. Social Media Workshop will be presented by Adam Lawless, he is an account manager at MPW Marketing, and he was the Community Engagement Manager for the United Way of the Valley & Greater Utica Area. He has educated other theater groups on the use of social media; he is responsible for the social media at Players of Utica. Stage Manger Workshop June 18th, 12PM - 2PM. Dianna Angell will be presenting the Stage Manger Workshop. Dianna works in the Syracuse University Department of Drama, she is the drama department’s production manager and assistant production manager at Syracuse Stage, Central New York’s premier professional theater and the professional theater in residence at Syracuse University. The Workshop topics will include: Basics responsibilities of a stage a manager. What makes a good stage a manager? How does the stage manager fit into the production? How to handle crisis, missing actor, bad communications. How to deal with actors egos. Workshop $20 Students with id –Free.
