Virtual STEAM Camp: Rocks
See how Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math all overlap in fun ways in Virtual STEAM Camp: Rocks! Using research-based educational content and a combination of virtual teaching and offline activities, students will explore the world of rocks from different STEAM perspectives. Each day will involve different guest speakers and activities covering the science, art, and math of the rock cycle. Campers will investigate the science of rocks and the rock cycle, explore the math behind how rocks are formed, use math and creativity to make rock art, and program a rock cycle simulation on Scratch. Dates: Monday, July 27 - Friday, July 31, 2020 Time: 9 am - 3 pm Place: Online- Zoom Live Stream Cost: $50; Scholarships available Age Group: Grades 6th - 9th Max Class Size: 20 students Children can only participate in those camps designed for their age group. There are no exceptions. Where a grade is stated, your child should be entering that grade this Fall.
