Main Streets™
The Rome Main Streets™ Program advocates a return to "community self-reliance, local empowerment, and the rebuilding of traditional commercial districts based on their unique assets: distinctive architecture, pedestrian-friendly environment, personal service, local ownership, and a sense of community." The Rome's Main Streets™ program is the only one of its kind in New York State.
Rome Main Streets™ focus is on Rome's three central business district commercial corridors: East Dominick Street, West Dominick Street, and James Street.
