Description
Miracle on South Division Street a comedy by Tom Dudzick -Monday, Oct 17, 7:30 PM -Tuesday, Oct 18, 7:30 PM at Rome Community Theater Ever since the Blessed Mother appeared to Grandpa in his barbershop in 1942, the Nowacks of Buffalo, NY have been special, and the shrine he built, a special place in the neighborhood. When the younger daughter decides to write and star in a one-woman play about the family legend, information is revealed that shakes their faith. This comedy about family life and history requires four characters: -Clara, the mother, 60-ish -Beverly, the eldest daughter 40-ish -Ruth, the middle child, 25-30 -Jimmy, the baby of the family early twenties. Director Carl DeFranco notes that there will be reading materials available - no prepared work is required. Rehearsals will generally be on weeknights until the final tech week. Everyone is welcome to audition.
