Through muted colors and text, Mona Brody employs oil on canvas as her primary medium and the abstraction of objects found in nature as inspiration. Brody’s work suggests the sublime resulting from her exploration of the surface, writings, memory, personal history, and the passing of time. The delicate interaction of neutral tones reveal a subtle presentation of the strange placed within the familiar.
