Effective Leave Management is a crucial skill to maintain a successful workplace. With employee leave ranging from Workers’ Compensation, to Short-term Disability, to FMLA, to now Paid Family Leave, it can be challenging to stay on top of each process. This is especially true for smaller employers who experience less frequent employee leave. Leave management is important because when an employee feels supported by their employer during their leave, they are more likely to return to work and be productive. The best leave management process will include facilitating communication between the physician, employee, and employer.
