Description
Congressional Candidates Forum Presented during
National Business Women’s Week in cooperation with
the Professional and Business Women of Rome
Congressman Richard Hanna was re-elected in 2014 to represent the 22nd District of NY in the US House of Representatives. His current term is his last—he announced his retirement last December.
The 22nd District includes the following counties: Broome, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, Oswego, and Tioga. Election Day is Tuesday, November 8th. The Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee and the PBW of Rome are presenting this forum to familiarize you with the candidates; Martin Babinec, Kim Myers, and Claudia Tenney. Actions taken by Congress affect our livelihoods and our abilities to successfully conduct business. Your attendance at this forum is encouraged.
The Professional and Business Women of Rome is a local chapter of New York State Women Inc., whose mission is to build powerful women personally, professionally and politically. During the Forum, Yellow Rose of Challenge Awards will be presented to Gale Barone and Kerry Casler, who exemplify the PBW of Rome’s motto of Women Helping Women. A member of the Chamber, the PBW of Rome has partnered with the Chamber’s Government Affairs Cmte since 2003 in candidate forums. For membership info, contact Beth Jones at 315-335-0551.
