Rome Free Academy

Rome's new high school, one of the finest in the state of New York, opened in September of 2002.
Rome City School District encompasses almost 100 square miles, serving over 6,000 students from Rome and surrounding rural and suburban areas.

Madison-Oneida BOCES
Board of Cooperative Educational Services
The Madison-Oneida BOCES cooperatively and responsibly provides educationally-focused programs and service s which enable learners to excel. BOCES includes school districts in a 549 square-mile area comprising Oneida, Herkimer, and Madison counties. These are voluntary, cooperative associations of school districts which work together to provide educational and business services more economically than each could offer by itself. BOCES was created by the New York State Legislature in 1948.
