Wreaths Across America Day In Rome

Wreaths will be placed on veterans graves after a brief ceremony where wreaths are placed at the entrance to the four cemeteries for the services. Community volunteers (Scouts, JROTC & CAP Cadets, school students, business workers, veteran organization) are being sought out to place the wreaths. Businesses and individuals can take part by sponsoring the wreaths which are obtained through Wreaths Across America in Maine.If you would like to sponsor wreaths for the volunteers to place contact Bob Haley at 336-4220 or lakeeffect2@verizon.net. If you would like to sponsor a wreath for a deceased veteran at a local cemetery, tell us where the grave is located so that you or a volunteer can place it.Wreaths are $15 each and all checks are to be made out to WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA and sent to Bob Haley at 9434 Sly Hill Rd in Ava, NY 13303.Volunteers can just show up at one of the four cemeteries to help out with the placing.
