Honor America Days Symphoria Symphony Orchestra

Time: 8:00 pm

Location: Fort Stanwix National Monument, North James & West Dominick Streets, Rome

Sponsored by: Rome Area Chamber of Commerce

Popular show tunes, rousing marches, and a celebration of the American spirit along with cannon fire, the ringing of church bells, and a spectacular fireworks display during the 1812 Overture and the Stars and Stripes! This free event is held on what is traditionally known as Rome's biggest day of the year: The last Saturday in July, which is the traditional kick-off to Rome's Annual Honor America Days Celebration. Earlier that day, the Honor America Days Parade steps off at 10am. Later in the evening, it's the Honor America Days Pops Concert performed by the Symphoria Symphony Orchestra from Syracuse. These events and others held in July and throughout August are well-established and have strong ties to the important role of Fort Stanwix during the American Revolution. Rome is home to a significant battle that turned the tide of the war. The rain date for the Pops Concert is Sunday, July 26th.
