2007-2008 Rome Chamber Membership Investment Schedules

These schedules are a result of thorough research and provide you a means to determine your basic investment in the Chamber. Variations exist among schedules because some classifications require more employees than others to make a profit. Membership Investments are not refundable.

Schedule Guidelines

VOTING MEMBERS

Membership begins with a Basic Investment of $215.00, which entitles a firm to one individual as a voting representative in the Chamber. That person will also be on the mailing list. Each additional $160.00 above the minimum investment entitles that firm to one additional voting representative up to a maximum of 10 voting members per membership account. Please review the following schedules and see the section entitled COMPUTING YOUR MEMBERSHIP INVESTMENT.

Schedule 1 Commercial, Manufacturing, Service, Retail, Agricultural:

$215.00 is the basic investment and includes the owner/manager and 1 full-time employee. If you employ 3-200 full-time equivalent employees, it’s an additional $7.65 per employee. If you have more than 200 employees, add $6.00 per employee up to 500. Over 500, add $4.60 per employee. (One full-time equivalent employee = 40 hours of part-time work).

Schedule 2 Theaters:

$215.00 + $80.00 per screen over 1.

Schedule 3 Shopping Centers:

$215.00 + $7.65 per 1000 square feet.

Schedule 4 Utilities (including Electric, Gas, Telephone):

$215.00 + $110.00 per 1000 customers or portion thereof.

Schedule 5 Print Media & Cable TV:

$215.00 + $80.00 per 1000 paid circulation (if all unpaid, use Schedule 1).

Schedule 6 Hotel/Motel:

$215.00 + $4.60 per unit up to 50 units and $2.75 over 50 units + $80.00 for full-time restaurant and $80.00 for bar/lounge.

Schedule 7 Apartments-Hospitals-Nursing Homes: $215.00 + $1.65 per unit or room.

Schedule 8 Mobile Home Parks:

$215.00 + $1.00 per available space.

Schedule 9 Banks-Credit Unions-Savings & Loans-Brokerage Firms:

$215.00 + $ 40.00 per million in deposits up to $25 million;

$1,215.00 + $32.50 per million in deposits from $25 million to $50 million;

$2,027.50 + $16.00 per million in deposits from $50 million to $150 million;

$3,627.50 + $ 7.65 per million in deposits over $150 million.

Schedule 10 Professional (including Physicians, Dentists, Lawyers, Real Estate Brokers, Investment Brokers, Accountants, Insurance Agencies, Engineers, Funeral Directors, etc.):

$215.00 for the first licensed professional/broker plus $160.00 per each licensed professional/broker plus $7.65 per non-licensed professional, employee or agent over 1 per professional.

Schedule 11 Airlines:

Negotiated over base investment of $215.00

Schedule 12 Out-of-Town Members:

Same schedules previously shown apply, but for all businesses with an office beyond five miles but less than ten miles from Rome the annual investment is capped at $1,115.00. For all businesses beyond ten miles from Rome the cap is $625.00

Schedule 13 Individual:

$215.00 basic investment.

NON-VOTING ASSOCIATE AND CIVIC MEMBERS

Associate and Civic Members are eligible to receive Chamber mailings and may participate in Chamber functions. Members in Schedules 14, 15, or 16 who want to vote must invest at the $215.00 basic investment level (Schedule 13).

Schedule 14 Non-Profit Corporations, Civic or Service Club: $ 125.00.

Schedule 15 Non-Business Individual or Employee of Member: $ 125.00.

Schedule 16 Retired Individual: $96.00.
