MembershipChamber Alliance Member Websiteswww.boonvillechamber.com Posted: 1 March 2011 CAMV is an association of independent chambers of commerce and organizations that meets monthly for information sharing, mutual support, advocacy, education, and joint planning. Established in 1997, CAMV's purpose is to represent and promote the collective interest of the Chambers of Commerce of the Mohawk Valley—that geographic area which includes, but is not limited to, Herkimer County, Oneida County, and Madison County. Approximately 2,500 Mohawk Valley businesses, organizations, individuals, and professional firms are represented by the alliance chambers and affiliate partner organizations.

Notes & NewsNew Chamber Alliance Officers for 2012 Joan Drummond of the Camden Chamber, pictured above far right, passed the gavel in January to incoming President of the Chamber Alliance of the Mohawk Valley, Leslie Irwin, of the Kuyahoora Valley Chamber. Next to Leslie is Kathy Kellogg, CAMV Secretary and Phil Williams, CAMV 1st Vice President—both representing the Trenton Chamber. Serving as CAMV 2nd Vice President is Bill Gray of the Rome Chamber who was not available for the picture. Leslie is Commercial Manager of Newport Telephone Co./NTCNet in Newport, NY where she has been employed for 25 years. Leslie resides in Poland, NY with her husband Jeffrey and two daughters, Morgen and Shiane. Currently, Leslie is President of the NYS Chapter of Independent Telephone Pioneer Association, Secretary of the Marketing/Customer Service Committee and past President, Secretary of the NYS Telecommunications Association Convention Committee, Director for the Kuyahoora Valley Chamber of Commerce and President of the Poland Central Booster Club. Phil is owner of Williams Oil Company, Remsen and a member of the Trenton Chamber of Commerce. Phil is also a director of the Empire State Theater and Musical Instruments Museum in Syracuse, a member of several antique car and truck clubs and several musical groups. He is a past president of the Oil Fuel Institute of CNY and of the board of trustees of the Remsen Methodist Church. Bill is Project Manager (Cyber Systems) for Serco, Inc., located in Rome. He is a retired Air Force officer and a member of the Rome Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors. Kathy is Financial Advisor, The Kellogg Agency, Executive Director, West Canada Watershed Alliance (formerly the West Canada Riverkeepers), past president of the CAMV and charter member of the Trenton Chamber of Commerce.Joan is owner of Oak Tree Advertising Promotions, Blossvale, and a member of the Camden Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors, having previously served as president and executive director. In 1990, she was honored as Camden Citizen of the Year. She is a member of the Verona First Presbyterian Church, serving as a deacon. Posted: 16 May 2011 Erin Hamlin Informational Program CAMV hosted an informational program and net-working opportunity with Erin Hamlin of Remsen, three-time US National Luge Champion, two-time Olympian and 2009 World Champion, to hear about her exciting athletic career and many experiences representing our country. The same energy and enthusiasm is evident in many of our region's business owners and management—they have sustained because of the same work ethic and dedication.
